GeoScale adds address autocomplete to your WooCommerce checkout, allowing customers to find and select their address instead of entering it manually.

What you need

  • A WordPress site with WooCommerce installed
  • A GeoScale account with an active subscription
  • A GeoScale API key
To get an API key:
  1. Sign up if you haven’t already
  2. On the dashboard, go to Billing and choose Add subscription
  3. Go to API keys and click Create API key

Install the plugin

The easiest way to install GeoScale is directly from your WordPress dashboard.
  1. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add Plugin
  2. Search for GeoScale
  3. Click Install Now
  4. Click Activate
You can also download the plugin from WordPress.org and upload it manually, but installing it from inside WordPress requires fewer steps and makes updates straightforward.

Connect your GeoScale account

After activating the plugin:
  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → General
  2. Find Address autocomplete and check Enable predictive address search
  3. Find the GeoScale API key field directly below it
  4. Copy your API key from the GeoScale dashboard
  5. Paste it into the GeoScale API key field
  6. Save your changes
GeoScale is now ready to provide address suggestions during checkout.

Test the integration

Open your store’s checkout and select a supported country. Start typing an address in the address field and GeoScale suggestions should appear automatically. When a customer selects a suggestion, the WooCommerce address fields are populated from the selected address.

Supported countries

  • The Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Luxembourg
  • France
For unsupported countries, customers can continue entering their address normally.

Troubleshooting

If address suggestions do not appear:
  • Make sure the plugin is installed and activated
  • Make sure Enable predictive address search is checked under WooCommerce → Settings → General
  • Make sure a valid GeoScale API key has been saved
  • Make sure your GeoScale account has an active subscription
  • Make sure the country selected at checkout is supported by GeoScale
